Psalms 110:1-7 HNV
(1) The LORD says to my Lord, "Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool for your feet."
(2) The LORD will send forth the rod of your strength out of Tziyon. Rule in the midst of your enemies.
(3) Your people offer themselves willingly in the day of your power, in holy array. Out of the womb of the morning, you have the dew of your youth.
(4) The LORD has sworn, and will not change his mind: "You are a Kohen forever in the order of Malki-Tzedek."
(5) The Lord is at your right hand. He will crush kings in the day of his wrath.
(6) He will judge among the nations. He will heap up dead bodies. He will crush the ruler of the whole earth.
(7) He will drink of the brook in the way; therefore he will lift up his head.
There are scholars who believe Psalm 110 coincides with the year 2010. Whether true or not, it's a captivating Psalm - full of Prophecy. The Psalms 110-116 could indeed describe a 7-year period of rejoicing in Heaven, and not-so-good times on earth. Let's just examine it briefly.
Vs1: We know that Jesus will sit at the right hand of the Father until the Father says... GO, Get your children. I will now make your enemies my footstool.
Vs 2: The Rod of Strength out of Zion - a name for Jerusalem - is a picture of the rule of Jesus from the holy city. This is a future reference that would begin during Millennial Reign of Jesus. Yes, He will reign in peace, but that does not mean He will not have enemies. Even though Satan will be bound, people will still harbor evil thoughts.
Vs 3: This is quite captivating. I can't tell you dogmatically what it means, but I know what it says to me: God's people will be with Jesus during His day of Power. In Holy Array - means dressed for the task at hand, which is to return with the King, voluntarily, to watch the General reclaim what the enemy thought he would never lose - the world. "You have the dew of your youth." Perhaps this speaks of a glorified army following the King. An army who now has eternal youth and strength.
Vs 4: The beauty of the scriptures and the Hebrew language is that it is living, so may or may not say many things at once. This verse apparently is speaking of Jesus - the High Priest in the order of Melchizedek. But it was just speaking of His people, who are... guess what... high priests in the order of Melchizedek because we are descended from Jesus!
Vs 5: Once again... the Lord is at your right hand. Yes, He is!
Vs 6: He will crush the ruler of the earth - this is the devil. His time is short.
Vs 7: This is a cryptic verse: He shall drink of the brook in the way. The Good Shepherd always finds water. The brook is the water and replenishment of the Holy Spirit. He shall lift his head; or He will lift His head in victory. The lifting of one's own head is a tout of victory.
The entire Psalm seems to indicate that the Father sends the Son to do a new thing. War. With Him are His holy ones... and the war is marked by total victory. This does seem to indicate an Armageddon reference. We'll study the following Psalms further.

The Millennium Pt2
The Millennium is the Sabbath day of God's first millennial week. God created the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th. Man, created on the 6th day, really saw nothing until the 7th day when his eyes were opened to the creation of God.
Maybe that's what we're heading towards. We are being built, now, as the stones being chiseled for the temple were chiseled out of earshot of the building site. We, too, are being hewn and shaped for our real place in God's House, and we haven't seen it yet!
1Co 2:9 MKJV
(9) But as it is written, "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard," nor has it entered into the heart of man, "the things which God has prepared for those who love Him."
Doesn't it make you wonder? Seeing what God created in the span of six 24-hour days, what has He created for us in the span of six 1000-year days? It 'has not entered into the heart of man'.

The Millennium
One Thousand years of peace! Guys, it isn't that far off. I'm telling you, it's not. God reveals things to His people - and those who are seeking Him in this are all saying the same thing: aint much time left. We have to be particularly careful to NOT fall into the group Peter said would emerge:
2Pe 3:3-4 LITV
(3) first, knowing this, that during the last days scoffers will come walking according to their own lusts,
(4) and saying, Where is the promise of His coming? For from which time the fathers fell asleep, all things remain so from the beginning of creation.
These are all church people, by the way. Worldly people don't know He's coming and don't care.
Back to the 1000 years... where will you be? What will your purpose be? Suppose for a moment the Tribulation begins next year some time. That puts the Millennial beginning 8 years from now, approximately. Could it happen? There is no doubt. Will it? Watch and see - that's what I'm doing.
What will life be like on earth? Perfect utopia under a Wise King. Will there be sin? Yes, in the hearts of mortal man. This is because some will survive the Tribulation Period. These will have children and grandchildren, and they will ALL have a decision to make about whether or not to follow Jesus. Some will choose not to, in their heart.
This will serve to prove that even when satan is bound and falling for a thousand years, man will still have the capacity to do his own thing, go his own way, and live for himself. We have a sin nature.
But meanwhile, life here will be pretty good for those who are mortal. Perfect peace and wise government, along with the blessing of God upon the world and no satanic influence. We are talking about a remnant of people who come out of tribulation and will prosper to enormous proportions. By the end of the 1000 years, there will probably be more people living on earth than ever. Maybe even more than have ever died to that point. Isn't that a mind-blower? But such is the way living in a utopia would be. No war - no disaster... only peace. Until they reopen the pit for a season... more on that later. Mull over this verse:

(20) No longer will there be there a child whose days are cut short, or an old man whose days have not come to their full measure: for the young man at his death will be a hundred years old, and he whose life is shorter than a hundred years will seem as one cursed.

Chrysler Files for Bankruptcy
Don't you hate that? Not that I'm a Chrysler guy, and I'm sure the name isn't going to vanish, but it just seems as though some of our 'icons' are crumbling in this country. That's sad for several reasons. I was a child in the 70's, which weren't the greatest economically. But about the time I started to pay attention in the 80's we were entering a time of unparalleled prosperity in the US. I was proud to be an American, for sure. As I grew a bit older yet, I started to realize that God does this from time to time - setting up world powers and bringing them back down. It's all up to Him. Why does He do it?
For one, it will create a marked difference between our meager empires and the one He will set up on earth. We will see that sans corruption, a nation does not have to disolve or atrophy from within over time. His regime will not be subject to corruption. His power will not peak and wane. His sovereignty will be undeniable to every leader on earth, and there will be no freedom to protest Him publically at all - until the end. The Bible says He will rule with an iron scepter - that means He will be unmoved in His policy. It will be a great time to be 'all in' as a Christ-follower. It will be a horrid time to be an enemy of the Lord.
Unlike some, I do not think that technology will disappear during the Millennium. It will be in use during the entirety of the Tribulation. For those who survive it, it won't simply disappear. Jesus will most-likely reign over a modern society - proving that technology is not the cause of our sin. If my speculation is accurate, then that is good, good news for the car companies of the future.
