A Great Nation?

I've heard America called great my entire life. In its own respects, it has truly been a mighty nation, and I really do love it. But great? When we look at the biblical definition of great, America doesn't really fit in. God told Abraham that He would form a great nation from him - and He did. Israel. Israel was not always great, but when it was, wow!

When Israel was great, nations quaked before them. They fought wars and lost NOBODY, not a single soldier! When they were great, the entire nation mourned when they lost 36 men because of disobedience. Compare America. We fought the Civil War, WW1, WW2, Korean, and Vietnamese Wars losing literally 100s of thousands of men. The difference is our walk.

We claim to be a Christian nation, but we do not truly let God lead. When God leads, we lose nobody. When we just give God props, there are casualties. Our lives can be lived in this manner. Do we just give God props? Or do we let Him lead? How victorious is our walk?
